Since 1984, the center has been a pioneer of remote sensing in Taiwan, devoted to remote sensing research and education. In response to specific needs of the country, society, economics, culture, and the environment, the center has actively conducted practical research in various fields such as land monitoring, disaster investigation, marine detection, atmospheric analysis, forestry planning, project management, and popular science education.
